The phishing course aims to teach participants how to recognise fraudulent emails, calls, messages and how to protect themselves and those around them from falling victim to phishing scams.

The different types of phishing:
Participants will be taught the basic concept of phishing, a scam that is designed to trick the recipient into giving up information, and the various forms of phishing attacks and who they are aimed at. These include:

Watering hole phishing

Angler phishing
How to identify phishing scams:
Teaching participants how to protect themselves against phishing, this course will provide the participants with the skillset to identify and question suspicious emails and correspondence they receive, such as questioning the legitimacy of the sender and analysing the contents, graphics and links within the email. Alongside teaching the participants how to best avoid falling victim to phishing scams, the course provides guidance on what to do should the participant feel as though they have fallen for such a scam.
