This course aims to teach the participants on how to use display screen equipment safely and in accordance with the Health and Safety regulations to minimise the risks associated with prolonged use of DSE. 

 

By the end of this course, participants will understand:

• The risks associated with using DSE equipment for prolonged periods of time.

Employer responsibilities: 

Participants will be informed on the legal requirements that employers must adhere to, including: 

 

• DSE Workstation Assessments 

• Providing funding for eye tests for employees 

• Ensuring that all staff are trained in relation to DSE

 

Health Risks associated with DSE: 

Participants will be informed on the various signs that prolonged used of DSE has affected an employee, these include: 

 

• Itchy eyes

• Tired eyes

• Temporary short sightedness 

• Stress 

• Headaches
